My Sustainable Urban Development baccalaureate degree, my Advanced Geographic Information Systems Certificate, and nine years of City of Seattle planning, urban forestry, public policy, and software implementation experience, position me to actively meet with leaders throughout multiple departments.

Through my policy and regulation gap analysis research with Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections (Land Use Code Development Team), and my work with the Urban Forestry Interdepartmental Team, I engage with department leads from Seattle City Light, Seattle Public Utilities, Seattle IT, Office of Planning & Community Development, Office of Sustainability & Environment, Department of Transportation, and the Race & Social Justice Change Team. These collaborative experiences help me better understand the differing, and sometimes competing, departmental perspectives and goals.

Applying my Udall Scholarship; University of Washington College of Engineering Master in Sustainable Transportation graduate studies; UW Executive Master of Public Administration graduate studies; media and visual arts experience; and human-centered design skills; I aim to inspire strong civic engagement on behalf of improving urban environments and public health. I will continue to seek research, policy, and planning opportunities that increase my understanding of the economic, equity, and environmental policies and practices that ensure our cities are resilient and sustainable places to live, work, and play.
